Relationships between Movies, Actors and Directors

This project is a data visualization chart that I developed using D3.js, a JavaScript library for data visualization, HTML and CSS. By using a force-directed graph, I was able to represent the relationships between movies, actors, and directors.

Interesting Facts:

  • Stan Lee, comic book writer and editor, creator of many of the superheroes in the marvel universe, appears in several of the recent marvel movies. In 14 to be exact.
  • Jon Favreau, acts in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 and Spider Man: Homecoming. But he was also the director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
  • Over the years, the ratings of the movies in the Marvel universe have been increasing, as well as the number of releases they make each year.
